Jacob Wagner became a part of Los Rios when he began taking classes at American River College in the fall of 1997. Ever since then Jacob has held close ties to the district. He has received two associate degrees from the district and has spent nearly ten years as an employee, fist as a tutor and later as a member of the classified staff.
Jacob has participated in Los Rios’ shared governance process both as a student and as a staff member. He has served on various committees including the American River Information Technology Committee and numerous hiring committees. Jacob also served as the ARC Student Association Director of Finance and later as the chairman of its Board of Justice. As a representative of the students Jacob maintained a good working relationship with various student clubs, the Inter-Club Council, and the administration’s Campus Life Coordinator.
Jacob is a committed follower of Jesus Christ and is a member of New Hope Christian Fellowship, near American River College. He currently serves as a computer programmer for the State of California while attending CSU Sacramento part time and spending time with his wife Rebecca and newborn son Gabriel.
